Friends of Scouting
Friends of Scouting is the annual giving campaign of the Northern New Jersey Council. NNJC invests $365 per Scout yearly to provide enriching and safe experiences for all the youth we serve. The actual cost of Scouting is much greater than local dues, camping and event fees cover. We are grateful for our Scout families and friends who contribute to help offset costs to ensure we deliver a meaningful and impactful Scouting program.

Support Scouting and Support Your Community
My project benefited the charity Backpacks for Life, which provides survival backpacks to homeless and at-risk Veterans. I went into the project knowing I can’t help everyone, but I wanted to make a difference for as many as possible as I could.
Nick set a goal to donate 50 backpacks containing 31 survival items. With the support of volunteers from his troop and community, Nick surpassed his goal and distributed 150 fully stocked backs to Veterans and donated 2,677 survivals items and donated to the organization.
